Accounting Specialist

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate / Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, and monthly close activities. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting foundation who enjoys working with financial data, maintaining accurate records, and supporting recurring accounting processes. The Accounting Associate / Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with bookkeeping, account reconciliations, journal entries, financial statement preparation, fixed asset tracking, and recurring monthly accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks, a strong understanding of debits and credits, and the ability to perform accurate account analysis and reconciliations. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain bookkeeping records, including transaction entry and account reconciliations. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes. Prepare and/or review financial statements, accounting reports, and supporting schedules. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and verify asset, liability, and equity account balances. Prepare journal entries, recurring monthly entries, and account adjustments as needed. Maintain and update fixed asset schedules. Assist with monthly sales/use tax filing preparation. Support accounts receivable and accounts payable processes. Assist with payroll-related coordination through third-party payroll providers. Analyze account data and prepare clear summaries for management review. Utilize accounting and client management software to manage workflow, documentation, and reporting. Maintain accurate records and ensure accounting tasks are completed in a timely and organized manner. Required Qualifications 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or staff accountant experience. Experience using QuickBooks . Strong understanding of bookkeeping, journal entries, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation. Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations. Familiarity with financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and financial report preparation. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills and a professional, team-oriented attitude. #J-18808-Ljbffr
