IT Director

trak group is partnering with a growing organization in West Chester, OH to place an IT Director. This is a rare opportunity to step into a greenfield leadership role, bringing IT back in-house and building an internal team from the ground up. You'll report directly to the CFO and serve as a trusted operational partner to business leadership, owning everything from infrastructure and cybersecurity to vendor relationships and strategic IT planning.

• Location: West Chester, OH, 100% On-Site
• Employment Type: Direct Hire
• Compensation: $160,000–$190,000/year plus 20% annual bonus target and full benefits

What You'll Own:

• Full ownership of IT infrastructure, systems administration, security, and end‑user support
• Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, Intune, and Power BI administration across the organization
• Network infrastructure management with a focus on uptime, stability, and scalability
• Device lifecycle management including provisioning, MDM, and decommission
• Cybersecurity posture including endpoint protection, identity management, vulnerability assessments, and compliance
• Vendor and MSP relationships including SOWs, SLAs, performance metrics, and contract oversight
• Core business application support in partnership with external consultants (Sage 300, Power BI, and others)
• IT project management including roadmap development, budgeting, and reporting to the CFO
• IT due diligence and post‑close integration for acquired companies
• Advancement of automation, AI‑assisted operations, and zero‑trust architecture

What You'll Bring:

• 8+ years of progressive IT leadership experience in a middle market business environment
• Deep expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem including Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and Power BI
• Demonstrated track record of managing network infrastructure with high availability and uptime
• Hands‑on experience with device lifecycle management and MDM platforms (Intune preferred)
• Strong vendor management skills including MSP and third‑party consultant oversight
• Proven ability to design and govern a partner‑leveraged operating model
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to drive multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Strong communicator, able to translate technical concepts clearly for non‑technical business leaders

Preferred:

• Experience with Sage 300, InspectAll, or FileMaker
• Background in industrial, field services, or multi‑site operations
• Microsoft (M365/Azure), CompTIA Security+, or equivalent certifications
• Experience with AI adoption, automation, and infrastructure‑as‑code in middle market environments
• Experience leading IT due diligence and acquisition integration
