Pay Range: $45 - $50/hr . Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Shift: Night Shift
• Duration: 8 weeks (05/18/2026 - 07/11/2026)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Overtime: Daily OT after 24 hours (based on multiplier); Weekly OT after 40 hours (based on multiplier)
• On-Call: No
• Manage care for an assigned group of patients on a 32-bed unit (typical ratio 1:5)
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret rhythms for adult and geriatric patients
• Administer heparin drips and all acute medications as ordered
• Provide post-operative and medical-surgical care to trauma patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care based on individual patient needs
• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, physical therapists, and other healthcare team members
• Utilize specialty equipment including gait belts, geriatric chairs, and PT equipment
• Educate patients and families on discharge planning, medication management, and follow-up care
• Maintain patient safety and infection control standards
• Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
• This position offers consistent night shifts with guaranteed 36 hours per week in a dynamic 32-bed Surgical ACE unit. You will gain valuable experience managing trauma patients and telemetry monitoring in a respected Atlanta hospital. The 8-week contract provides flexibility, and both local and travel candidates are welcome. EPIC EMR proficiency will be utilized daily.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Must-Have Skills: Minimum recent experience in MedSurg / Telemetry nursing
• Active RN license in the State of Georgia or valid eNLC compact multi-state license
• AHA BLS certification
• AHA ACLS certification
• Documented MedSurg and Telemetry experience (must have checklist)
• EPIC EMR experience
• Experience with heparin drips and acute medication administration
• Adult/older adult patient population experience
• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensure/Certification:
• Active RN license in the State of Georgia or valid eNLC compact multi-state license - required
• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) - required
• AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - required
• Documented MedSurg and Telemetry experience - required
• Experience with adult and older adult patient populations - required
• Experience with trauma patients - preferred
• Experience with heparin drips and acute medication administration
• EPIC EMR experience - required
• Strong cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage a 1:5 patient ratio in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
• Skilled Nursing / Rehab experience
• Prior NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders) training
