Registered Nurse - Step Down

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Step Down Unit team. This role is ideal for a nurse with strong critical care skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment, providing care to patients transitioning from intensive care to med-surg or general units. Key Responsibilities Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, recognizing and responding to changes in status. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Provide patient and family education and support throughout the recovery process. Document all care provided in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards. Ensure a safe and clean environment in the unit. Required Qualifications Active and unrestricted RN license. Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a Step Down, ICU, or Telemetry unit. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Ability to multitask in a high-acuity environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Previous experience in a Step Down or Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) – required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required. Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) – preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
