Tax AssociatePosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Associate to prepare and review federal and state tax returns, assist with tax planning and research, and support a diverse portfolio of clients including individuals, highnetworth clients, partnerships and corporations. The role requires meeting strict deadlines, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and collaborating with senior staff to deliver high-quality client service.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review individual, partnership and corporate federal and state tax returns with accuracy and timelinessPerform tax research and apply findings to client matters using standard research tools and internal resourcesWork directly with clients and engagement managers to gather tax information, resolve inquiries and communicate tax positions clearlyMaintain organization of client files, workpapers and documentation in accordance with firm quality and compliance standardsAssist with tax planning projects, projections and estimated tax calculations for individuals and businessesCoordinate and support audits, notices and correspondence with taxing authorities as neededUse tax software (enter data, troubleshoot returns, and export/import information) and maintain proficiency with new tools and updatesCollaborate with team members to improve processes, identify efficiencies and support training of junior staff when applicableManage multiple engagements and prioritize deliverables to meet filing deadlines and client expectationsQualificationsMinimum 1-3 years experience in public accounting or professional tax role as a Tax Associate (required)Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Masters in Taxation or equivalent preferredSolid knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax laws for Individuals, Partnerships and CorporationsHands-on experience with tax preparation software and research tools (experience with CCH, Lacerte (lacert) and tax Prep tools is a plus)Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office; strong analytical, organizational and attention-to-detail skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact professionally with highnetworth clients and business owners (HNWIs and Individuals)Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines and work independently and in teamsNice to have: CPA license or CPA Eligible candidates; Enrolled Agent (EA) credential is advantageousFamiliarity with tax issues affecting Partnerships and Corporations and experience serving HNWIs are highly desirable
