Days: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday Shifts: Early AM, Day, Night 55 hour work week average. Sunday Brunch requires opening/setup of Brunch Buffet 6 am average. Marais is open for Dinner Tues-Fri 4-9 pm. Saturday Brunch/Lunch/Dinner 11a-10p

Marais is a Full Service Family owned Fine Dining Hospitality Venue/Restaurant located on Dickinson Bayou, center of town Dickinson, just 30 mins North of Galveston, 30 mins South of Houston. Executive Chef will have total and direct responsibility for all Hiring &Training of Culinary Team members, Menu creation & collaboration with owner, G.M. and Sous Chef, ensuring order, prep & production systems are fully used to achieve fresh products and ensure food costs meet budget. Executive Chef will write employee schedules using the Hot Schedules platform to meet Budget, Review Opentable reservations, and Party Bookings to ensure excellent execution of both regular business and special events. Executive Chef will ensure plate presentations are Best in Class, ticket times met, Excellent Expediting skills a must. Executive Chef working with Sous Chef will ensure a clean kitchen and Health Department food handling standards are met 100%. Marais is an independent, family owned Entrepreneurial High Quality operation. Owners have been in Food Service over 40 years, we are very creative, fully staffed with this one exception of Executive Chef, we treat our staff like family. Not one employee lost a dollar during Harvey storm or COVID so we walk the talk. Quality of Life ~ Personal Life balance is here. 5 day work week, closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, closed early Christmas Eve, Easter, Superbowl Sunday. starting salary $85,000 and up based on experience and solid due diligence proving your experience and stability. We will perform a criminal background check, and expect to contact your previous employers for referral. We do our due diligence because we only want the best. We prefer a non smoker. This is an extremely well known restaurant in Galveston County, you would receive high visibility for quality work and menu creation.
