Location: West Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts, nights (weekdays and weekends). 13-week contract with possible extension. Unit will accommodate schedule requests when possible but cannot guarantee blocked schedules.

Highlights:

• 34-bed acute medical-surgical unit caring for adults with diverse diagnoses and complex care needs
• Patient ratios of 1:5-7, daily census of 25-30 patients
• Cerner EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Collaborative team environment balancing experienced and novice staff members focused on evidence-based practice
• Opportunity for contract extension based on performance and facility needs
• Consistent attendance required; facility expects reliable commitment throughout contract duration

Requirements:

• Active West Virginia or Compact RN License (pending licenses accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; travel experience not required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (all through American Heart Association)
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Proficiency in medical-surgical nursing skills including blood product administration, IV management, wound care, BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, isolation precautions, and medication protocols
• Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from the facility
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
