About the Position

Job Opportunity – Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit RN – West Virginia

Start Date: ASAP
Location: West Virginia

Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, weekdays with some weekends

Highlights:

• Patient ratio typically 1:4, flexing to 1:5 in emergencies
• 13-week contract with possibility for extension
• Electronic Medical Record: Cerner charting system
• Mixed acuity unit with stepdown, progressive care, and telemetry patients
• Blocked weekend schedules may be considered (Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday)
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

• Active RN license (West Virginia or Compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of total RN experience required
• 1 year of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience and 2 years of Stepdown experience required
• Must be able to independently interpret cardiac rhythm strips
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Experience with Cerner EMR required
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from the facility
• Minimum 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
