About the Position

Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse with Telemetry – West Virginia

Start Date: ASAP
Location: West Virginia

Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts, days, weekdays and weekends (3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period)

Highlights:

• 34-bed medical-surgical unit with telemetry capability serving adult patient population
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-7, daily census averaging 30 patients
• Cerner EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 13-week contract with possibility of extension
• Collaborative team environment with clinical nurse coordinators on every shift and active nurse manager presence
• 12-hour orientation provided with acuity-based staffing model

Requirements:

• Active West Virginia or Compact RN license (pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (must be American Heart Association certified)
• Experience with telemetry, medical-surgical patient populations, and nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 or higher
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system preferred
• Strong skills in blood product administration, central line management, telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, and wound care
• Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years required
• Permanent address must be a minimum of 75 miles from facility location
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Reliable attendance is essential – strong attendance expectations throughout contract duration
