Job Opportunity – Stepdown/Immediate Care Unit RN – West Virginia

Schedule: 3x12 Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, weekdays with some weekends. Weekend block schedules (Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon) will be considered. Typically 1:4 patient ratio, may flex to 1:5 in emergencies.

• 13-week contract with possibility of extension
• Progressive care unit with varied acuity levels, primarily cardiac patients including post-surgical and interventional cardiology procedures
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
• 36-bed unit with robust support staff including unit secretaries, phlebotomy, radiology, and transportation
• Cerner EMR system
• Limited holiday RTO requests (maximum 2 of 4 major holidays)

• Active West Virginia or Compact RN license (pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years total RN experience required
• 1 year Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience and 2 years Stepdown experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association required)
• Strong telemetry skills with demonstrated ability to interpret cardiac rhythm strips
• Proficiency in IV starts, cardiac telemetry monitoring, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Experience with cardiac drips, vasoactive medications, blood product administration, and central line management
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Minimum 2 professional references from managers or charge nurses within the past 2 years
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from facility location
