We’re currently partnering with a well-established fertilizer manufacturer and national supplier in Lakeland, FL to hire a Trailer Maintenance Technician . This position will join an experienced maintenance team and be responsible for keeping the company’s bulk trailer fleet safe, operational, and roadworthy through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. We’re looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys hands-on work, and has experience repairing mechanical equipment, hydraulics, small engines, trailers, or similar equipment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on bulk and hopper trailers
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on trailers and related equipment
• Inspect, maintain, and repair air brake systems and brake components
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic and air systems
• Troubleshoot electrical and wiring issues
• Repair suspension, frames, and other trailer components
• Perform small engine maintenance and repairs as needed
• Assist with welding and fabrication repairs when qualified
• Inspect equipment for safe operation and DOT compliance
• Document completed inspections, maintenance, and repairs
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all company and applicable DOT safety requirements

Who We’re Looking For

• Previous hands-on mechanical maintenance or repair experience
• Experience working with hydraulics and/or small engines
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
• Trailer, fleet, diesel, heavy equipment, or similar mechanical experience is preferred
• Air brake and suspension experience is preferred
• Basic electrical/wiring troubleshooting experience is preferred
• Welding experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to work safely in a hands-on maintenance environment
• Steel-toe footwear required

What You Can Expect

• $19.00 - $23.00/hr, depending on experience
• Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm
• Weekly pay
