Environment: Office

Under the direction of the Refugee Ministry Director, provide administrative support to the implementation of key methods, best practices, policies and procedures of the Northwest Community Center. Assist in day-to-day operation of the Northwest Community Center, including purchasing supplies and managing the supplies budget. Greet and provide direction to refugees or their advocates; providing referrals, responding to correspondence as needed. Through both direct participation and administrative support, assist in the implementation of plans for both weekly/recurring and major/seasonal events, meetings, etc. Provide additional administrative support to the Outreach Ministry for large events such as the annual Fall Fun Fest, World Passion Week and Vickery Mission Trip. Assist in planning and preparation for volunteer training and recruitment. Maintain refugee resource distribution database. Update metrics and outcomes for monthly ministry reporting. Assist in coordinating all printed and mailed materials. Assist with other duties, as required.

Qualifications

As a religious organization, all employees must agree to conduct themselves in a way that does not undermine or contradict the contents of the church's Doctrinal Statement and Statement on Marriage and human sexuality based upon its sincerely held religious beliefs, to qualify for employment with Northwest Bible Church. This is necessary to accomplish the Church's religious mission, goals, and purpose.

Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and as Lord. Ability to multi-task and maintain attention to details. Excellent oral and written communication. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Ability to problem solve and utilize creative solutions. Strong propensity for database and reporting functions. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to handle conflict with conviction and love. 1-3 years administrative experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
