RN - Nursing Supervisor, Skilled Nursing

Salary $38 / hr – $53.30 / hr Overview Elderwood at Waverly is seeking an experienced and compassionate Nursing Supervisor (RN) to help lead clinical operations and support nursing teams within our skilled nursing and rehabilitation community. This important leadership role is responsible for overseeing nursing care delivery during the assigned shift, supporting nursing staff across units, responding to clinical and operational needs, and ensuring exceptional resident care and service excellence. Benefits Strong leadership and clinical support Team‑oriented environment Opportunity to lead and mentor nursing staff Meaningful work serving geriatric and rehabilitation populations Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits Mission‑driven organization focused on People Caring for People Responsibilities Oversee nursing operations during the assigned shift Support and supervise nursing staff across the facility Serve as a clinical resource and leader for nursing teams Help ensure quality resident care and regulatory compliance Assist with staffing coordination, problem‑solving, and resident care oversight Partner closely with Unit Managers, DON leadership, providers, and interdisciplinary teams Supervise nursing care services and personnel across assigned units Conduct rounds and provide clinical support and guidance to staff Monitor resident conditions and ensure timely communication of changes Assist with admissions, evaluations, care planning, and resident oversight Support safe medication administration and treatment delivery Assist with staffing coordination and assignment adjustments Provide coaching, feedback, and support to nursing staff Ensure documentation, workflows, and assignments are completed appropriately Participate in shift‑to‑shift communication and operational updates Promote a collaborative, respectful, team‑focused environment Help maintain compliance with facility policies, CMS standards, and nursing regulations Support infection prevention and facility safety initiatives Assist with incident response, emergency procedures, and survey readiness Participate in QAPI and performance improvement efforts Qualifications Possession of a state license in the applicable state and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience and at least one (1) year of experience in a nursing leadership role Interest or experience in geriatrics Current BLS/CPR certification Experience with dementia population desirable Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate or more advanced level Join Elderwood At Elderwood at Waverly, our nursing leaders play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for residents, families, and staff alike.
