Social Media Intern

A local State Farm agency is looking for a part-time Social Media Intern to help strengthen our online presence and connect with the community. This opportunity could be a great fit for a college student studying marketing, communications, public relations, business, or a related field. You'll have the chance to contribute ideas, create engaging content, and build real-world experience in a professional office environment.

What You'll Do:

• Create engaging content for the agency's social media platforms
• Assist with planning and maintaining a consistent posting schedule
• Write captions that reflect the agency's personality and brand
• Research relevant social media trends and suggest new content ideas
• Monitor engagement and assist with tracking basic social media performance
• Support additional marketing and office projects as needed

What We're Looking For:

• Current college student or recent graduate preferred
• Familiarity with platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn
• Creative mindset with strong written communication skills
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage assignments independently
• Experience with Canva or similar design tools is a plus
• Positive attitude and willingness to contribute new ideas

Position Details:

• Part-time, paid internship
• Flexible scheduling
• Hybrid position - primarily remote (must live locally)
• No insurance experience or licensing required
• Hands-on experience creating content for a professional business

This is an excellent opportunity to build your portfolio, develop practical marketing skills, and gain experience working with a local business and community-focused team. This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not with State Farm Insurance Companies. Employees of State Farm agents must be able to successfully complete any applicable licensing requirements and training programs.
