This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants a consistent full-time schedule in a supportive childcare environment. You'll work alongside experienced Lead Teachers to create safe, engaging classrooms where children learn through play, exploration, and positive relationships. Key Responsibilities Support Lead Teachers with daily classroom routines and learning activities Engage children through play, art, music, movement, sensory activities, and hands-on learning Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and classroom transitions Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance Help prepare classroom activities and learning materialsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment Build positive relationships with children and families Collaborate with teachers and center leadership Provide classroom and ratio coverage as needed Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Previous daycare, preschool, childcare, or experience working with children preferred CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus Patient, dependable, energetic, and team-oriented Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements What We Offer Competitive pay of $17-$19 per hour, based on experience and credentials Consistent full-time Monday-Friday schedule Available shifts of 9:00 AM-6:00 PM or 9:30 AM-6:30 PM Paid training and professional development Employee childcare discount Supportive leadership and collaborative teaching team Opportunities to grow into Lead Teacher and other early childhood education roles #J-18808-Ljbffr The Learning Experience - Grand Rapids - Cascade
