Classroom Assistant
STEPPING STONES MONTESSORI SCHOOLS
Stepping Stones Montessori School, a private Montessori school serving children ages 12 months to 15 years, seeks experienced candidates to join our school in the 2023-24 academic year.
Stepping Stones Montessori School offers programs in Children's House (ages 3-6), Lower Elementary (ages 6-9), Upper Elementary (ages 9-12), and Middle School (ages 12-15). In addition, Stepping Stones offers robust after-school programs for Children's House and Elementary. Classroom assistant positions are open for Elementary and After-School Care.
All lead guides in our program are certified Montessori guides for the age that they lead. If you are committed to Montessori principles, a growth-mindset learner, and looking for fabulous colleagues, Stepping Stones might be your place. Roles and Responsibilities
- Assume proactive responsibility for student safety
- Assist students in resolving conflict and differences
- Ensure materials are available and in order for student use
- Ability to supervise children outdoors in all seasons
- Willingness to observe children
- Open to learning Montessori principles
- Able to set proper boundaries
- Associates Degree or Comparable Experience
- Experience with children
- Understanding of Montessori principles
- Relates joyfully to children
