The Medical Receptionist plays a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for patients, primarily serving a geriatric population. This position involves managing appointments, patient registration, and insurance verification while working as part of a small front desk team. A friendly personality, strong focus, and ability to navigate common EHR platforms are essential. Training will be provided to ensure success in this role.

 

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage patient appointments efficiently, handling 20-50 patients daily
• Maintain the reception desk and provide excellent customer service to all patients
• Register patients accurately and perform data entry tasks using common EHR platforms
• Verify patient insurance information without handling billing or claims
• Manage phone communications professionally and courteously
• Collaborate effectively with a small front desk team

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in healthcare administration is accepted, but prefer some experience if possible.
