Accounting Manager

Amazing Accounting Manager opportunity in North Miami Beach About the Opportunity We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our accounting function. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and driving continuous process improvement within a dynamic, growing manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting Lead the month-end and year-end close processes , ensuring accuracy and timeliness Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP Coordinate and lead annual audits , serving as the primary liaison with external auditors Establish and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities Maintain and reconcile subsidiary accounts, resolving discrepancies as needed Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen financial operations Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, ensuring high performance and accountability Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred) 7+ years of progressive accounting and/or audit experience Proven experience in an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant role Strong knowledge of GAAP , financial reporting, and internal controls Experience managing audits and working with external auditors Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks and Quantum a huge plus ) and advanced Excel skills Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities Why Join Us Opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role Collaborative and growth-oriented environment Ability to drive process improvements and operational excellence Competitive compensation and benefits package EOC Ascendo is a certified minority owned staffing firm, and we welcome and celebrate diversity.
