Main Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and triaging security alerts across Sanofi's global environment using SIEM and security tooling.
• Support incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and documentation of security events.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of automation scripts and playbooks to enhance SOC efficiency.
• Participate in threat intelligence gathering and analysis to identify emerging risks.
• Participate in threat hunting activities to proactively identify and investigate suspicious patterns, indicators of compromise, and potential threats within Sanofi's environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support security awareness and risk mitigation efforts.
• Document findings, processes, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
• Engage in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cyber Security or a related field, with an expected graduation date of 2027 or 2028. / Actively pursuing a degree in Cyber Security or a closely related discipline.
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the Internal requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university throughout the duration of the co-op/internship.
• Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday to Friday for the full duration of the co-op/internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Foundational understanding of automation and scripting principles (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Foundational understanding of networking principles (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs).
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, IBM QRadar).
• Exposure to cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Understanding of incident response frameworks (e.g., NIST, MITRE ATT&CK).
• Experience with log analysis or security event investigation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $35 -$45 USD hourly. All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.
