Accountant

A growing manufacturing company is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. This role offers a well-rounded mix of general accounting, inventory exposure, and collaboration with leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing schedules and assisting with financial reporting
• Perform monthly lease accounting and maintain related schedules
• Complete bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions across multiple entities
• Assist with inventory accounting, including tracking costs, analyzing variances, and supporting inventory valuation (light cost accounting)
• Participate in the annual physical inventory count and assist with reconciliation and adjustments
• Utilize Power BI to analyze financial data, support reporting, and provide insights to leadership
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and other departments to ensure accurate financial data
• Support process improvements and documentation of accounting procedures

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
