Take your expertise in speech-language pathology to a new level by working with K-12 students in a supportive, dynamic educational setting on a contract basis. This position, located near Sunnyvale, CA, offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of school-aged children, providing vital speech, language, and communication services. Collaborate with educators and families, and experience the satisfaction of seeing your students achieve their goals.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- California SLP License required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Open to Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
- Experience in educational and healthcare settings working with pediatric populations, ideally in schools
- Competency with teletherapy platforms and technology
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy in individual and group settings, both onsite and via teletherapy as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support educational goals
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
- Provide guidance and training to staff and family members on supporting communication at school and home
