Nursing Specialty: Nursing Level 4 RN OR Circulator

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Serve as the circulating RN during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and smooth OR operations.
• Assess patients before, during, and after surgery and monitor their condition.
• Verify patient identity, procedure, consent, allergies, and surgical site.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, scrub staff, and other OR personnel.
• Maintain a safe, sterile, and properly prepared operating room environment.
• Document patient care, surgical activities, medications, specimens, and other required information.
• Manage surgical supplies, equipment, counts, and specimen handling.
• Assist with positioning, transfer, and preparation of patients for surgery.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in patient condition.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
• 2 years of experience as a Cardiac OR - Scrub/Circulate Registered Nurse (RN)
• American Heart Association BLS, ACLS
• Telemetry experience required
• Must be able to scrub and circulate
• An active, current (NY) state license only
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
