LabCorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in the El Paso, TX area (79912) Work Schedule: Monday - Friday hours will vary based on coverage needs between 7:00 am to 6:00pm (overtime and rotating weekends may be required as needed) Job Responsibilities: * Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups * Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc. * Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner * Process billing information and collect payments when required * Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis * Maintain patient and specimen information logs * Provide superior customer service to all patients * Administrative and clerical duties as necessary * Travel to additional sites when needed, Reliable transportation required Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications: * 2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment * 1 or more years' experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric) * Current or prior LabCorp experience Additional Job Standards: * In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency * Will cover sites in El Paso, TX and surrounding areas - Las Cruces / Roswell, NM (approximate 200 + mile radius) * Ability to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment * Able to pass a standardized color blindness test * Be 21 years of age or older * Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record * Flexibility to work overtime as needed * Exceptional customer service * Strong communication skills; both written and verbal * Ability to work independently or in a team environment * Comfortable working under minimal supervision This role will provide the opportunity to quickly gain a vast amount of experience. Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement * QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM * Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
