Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical ICU – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: September 8, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00) with block scheduling. Weekend coverage required (6 shifts per 6-week period). Patient ratio 1:2.

Highlights:

• Medical-Surgical ICU with 16 beds and daily census of 14 patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy
• Epic charting system with 12-hour orientation period
• Float based on schedule with one pre-approved time off period available
• Advanced critical care environment with CRRT (NXXT Stage) and full ICU capabilities
• 13-week assignment with potential for professional growth in a Level I/II trauma environment

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS; Preferred: NIHSS, PALS
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 2-3 patients
• Critical care skills including ventilator management, vasoactive drip titration, central line management, and arterial line management
• Geographic restriction: Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris counties are not eligible
