Overview Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility in Hoffman Estates, IL. This is a 3-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity. Schedule: M-F 8 am to 4:30 pm / E/O Saturday 7-12 pm Duration: 3 Months+ Pay rate: $24.00/hr - $25.00/hr The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold. Base pay range $24.00/hr - $25.00/hr Key details Direct message the job poster from Pride Health Responsibilities Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc. Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of venipuncture (blood drawing) and other specimen collection as required. Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. Fully understand all physician orders. Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order. Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correctness. Package specimens for transport. Store specimen samples according to the required temperature, and place samples as needed. Qualifications A High School Diploma or GED is required. A minimum of 3-5 years of phlebotomy experience is required.
