Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist Position

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) seeks a board-certified/board-eligible physician to join our expanding Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology as a Hospitalist. This position is in Milwaukee, WI, at the Froedtert & MCW Birth Center. We are comprised of a nationally and internationally renowned, dedicated group of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care.

Position Highlights

• Clinical Care: Provide care to both high-risk and low-risk obstetric patients in a hospitalist role. Manage emergent gynecologic conditions and perform surgical procedures, as needed.

Schedule and Locations

• Practice Locations: Froedtert & MCW Birth Center and Froedtert Emergency Department
• Schedule: Choose between 12-hour or 24-hour shifts, based on personal preference and team scheduling needs, with a balanced mix of weeknights, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility in the number of shifts per month, with opportunities to adjust workload.
• Employment Type: Salaried (Exempt)

• Froedtert Hospital serves as a statewide referral center, providing high-quality care for patients with a variety of complexity.
• Froedtert & MCW features one of the only Level 4 Obstetrical Units in Wisconsin, directly connected to the Level 4 NICU at Children's Wisconsin.
• The Generalist Division includes 26 faculty and staff physicians and 7 advanced practice providers, delivering care across 12 diverse clinical settings affiliated with Froedtert Hospital, Children's Wisconsin, and the Zablocki VA Medical Center.
• Many faculty members hold leadership roles within MCW and Froedtert Hospital.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in OBGYN specialty
• State medical licensure, or eligibility to obtain license, in the state of Wisconsin.
