2027 Future Talent Program - Cellular Pharmacology - Intern

Merck seeks an intern for a 10-12 week summer position in the Cellular Pharmacology group at the Boston Research Laboratories. The intern will develop cell-based assays for drug screening and conduct experiments to characterize potency and mechanisms of action across therapeutic targets.
Responsibilities
- Conduct cell-based assays to evaluate potency and characterize cellular signaling mechanisms
- Operate automated liquid handling stations and plate reader instruments for screening
- Analyze experimental data independently and troubleshoot assay performance issues
- Collaborate with team members on cellular pharmacology investigations across diverse therapeutic areas
Requirements
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in biological sciences or related field
- Prior experience with mammalian cell culture and molecular biology techniques
- Strong foundation in cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology
- Proficiency with Windows-based operating systems, spreadsheets, and databases
- Minimum 3.2 GPA
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work full-time June-August 2027
Compensation: $39,108-$111,111
