Medical Assistant – Outpatient Clinic

Requirements:

• Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
• Minimum of 2 years of outpatient clinic experience
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Skills in venipuncture, rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and administrative tasks

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Room patients and record history, medications, and allergies
• Obtain vital signs and perform point-of-care tests including capillary draws and pulse oximetry
• Administer intramuscular and intradermal injections
• Conduct insurance verification and manage pharmacy refill calls
• Assist with aseptic setups, dressing changes, and specimen handling

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation required: 120 hours
• References: Two supervisor-level references from within the past 12 months required at submission
• Must float to other outpatient clinics in the vicinity
• Return time off (RTO) rules: Maximum of 7 days; no RTO within the first 2 weeks of assignment
• MA diploma and license/certification copy required at submission
