Salary Range: $64,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Charlotte region seeking Cost Accountants. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidatesnot just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard product costs.
• Analyze manufacturing variances and provide detailed explanations.
• Prepare cost of goods sold and inventory valuation reports.
• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for manufacturing costs.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and track their implementation.
• Perform profitability analysis for products and customers.
• Reconcile inventory accounts and investigate discrepancies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation methods.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for production costs.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP system implementation or optimization
• APICS certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP)
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
