Accountant (Full-Cycle)

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to oversee day-to-day financial operations. This is a hands-on role critical to maintaining accurate financial records, supporting informed business decisions, and ensuring efficient accounting processes.

The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment where responsibilities span core accounting functions and broader operational support.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely transaction postings

• Perform reconciliations across bank accounts, credit cards, and all balance sheet accounts

• Administer payroll in partnership with a third-party provider

• Support full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (vendor payments, invoicing, collections)

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain complete, accurate financial records

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in a timely manner

• Own the month-end and year-end close processes

• Assist with inventory counts and provide recommendations based on findings

• Deliver financial reports, data analysis, and insights to support leadership decision-making

Compliance & Internal Controls

• Evaluate and implement internal controls appropriate for a growing organization

• Coordinate with external tax advisors to support tax preparation and filings

• Maintain well-organized financial documentation and audit-ready records

Systems, Process Improvement & Operational Support

• Ensure accounting systems are configured to produce accurate and reliable data

• Recommend and implement process improvements and system enhancements

• Document accounting procedures and workflows

• Support budgeting and forecasting activities

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

• High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills

• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple responsibilities

Preferred

• CPA designation

• Experience with NetSuite (Oracle)

• Payroll processing experience
