Day hours with rotation on weekends, 6a-6p and 8a-8p.

Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. This role involves administering prescribed medications and treatments per approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state laws. The ED RN will perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care, while developing and executing personalized patient care plans as prescribed by the physician or clinic policy.

Responsibilities

• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
• Utilize clinical expertise to guide other units or departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
• Exercise critical thinking concerning patient safety and experience, escalating issues through the appropriate chain of command.
• Engage in professional nursing continuum processes, unit practice activities, and peer review processes.

Required Experience

• Valid Wisconsin RN Licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications must be obtained from AHA Provider Level.
• NIHSS and either TNCC or TNS certifications are required.
