Commercial HVAC/R Technician

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour Job description: About Total Comfort Group Total Comfort Group is a nationwide provider of commercial HVAC, Electrical, and Project Management solutions, supporting multi‑site retail and commercial properties across the United States. We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC/R Technician with experience to support customer locations in Austin and surrounding Central Texas areas, with additional travel to other Texas sites as needed. What We Offer Competitive hourly pay: $30.00 – $45.00 Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage 401(k) with 3% company match 2 weeks PTO + paid holidays Company‑provided service truck, mobile phone, and uniform allowance (including work boots) Tool loan program Year‑round commercial work with national accounts Key Responsibilities Service, diagnose, repair, install, and maintain commercial HVAC/R systems Troubleshoot system failures and recommend appropriate repairs or replacement Service commercial equipment ranging from 1–50 tons Work on refrigeration systems, boilers, and electrical/control components Follow all safety, industry, and company standards Maintain accurate service documentation and a clean work environment Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and internal teams Travel to job sites throughout Austin, Central Texas, and other Texas locations Required Qualifications 3+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience Graduate of an accredited HVAC technical program Proven experience with commercial HVAC systems (1–50 tons), refrigeration systems, boilers, electrical and control systems EPA Universal Certification (required) Valid driver’s license with clean driving record Own basic hand tools, gauges, and meters Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed Ability and willingness to travel within Texas Work Environment Field‑based role with indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions Must be able to climb, kneel, bend, crawl, lift, and stand for extended periods Fast‑paced commercial service environment with regular travel Licenses / Certifications EPA Universal Certification (required) OSHA safety training (preferred) Advance Your Commercial HVAC/R Career If you’re an experienced Commercial HVAC/R Technician with experience looking for competitive pay, strong benefits, and consistent commercial work, Total Comfort Group wants to hear from you.
