Senior Tax Accountant

Job Description Job Description Senior Tax Accountant Navesink Tax & Advisory LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our growing team in Neptune, New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable tax professional who enjoys working directly with clients and wants to become an important part of a collaborative, client-focused accounting firm. Responsibilities: * Prepare and review complex individual, partnership, S corporation, C corporation, trust, and nonprofit tax returns * Review financial statements and supporting documentation for accuracy * Conduct tax research and assist with tax-planning strategies * Identify tax-saving opportunities and communicate recommendations to clients * Respond to IRS and state tax notices * Manage multiple client assignments and deadlines during tax season * Communicate professionally with clients regarding tax questions and missing information * Provide guidance and support to junior accountants and administrative team members * Maintain accurate client records and workpapers Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field * Minimum of three to five years of recent public-accounting tax experience * Strong experience preparing individual and business tax returns * CPA or EA designation preferred; CPA candidates will also be considered * Experience with UltraTax CS is strongly preferred * Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office * Strong tax research, analytical, organizational, and communication skills * Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines * High level of professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail What We Offer: * Competitive salary based on experience * Paid time off and paid holidays * Professional and supportive work environment * Opportunities for advancement and continued professional development * Year-round position with overtime opportunities during tax season Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person - Neptune, New Jersey Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience To Apply: Please submit your résumé along with a brief description of your recent tax-preparation and review experience.
