Area Sales Manager - Miami - Ottava

Job Overview Johnson & Johnson is seeking an Area Sales Manager (ASM) for Ottava, based in Miami, FL. The role focuses on end‑to‑end commercialization of capital equipment and services for surgical technology. Purpose As an ASM, you will serve as the point person for commercialization, including sales, support and capital program management for Ottava. You will access, develop and execute business plans, engage clinicians and stakeholders, lead clinical and technical product discussions, present financing options, and support post‑sales adoption. Responsibilities Develop and execute quarterly business plans that meet capital equipment and disposable sales revenue targets within the assigned territory. Gain access to clinicians, conduct discovery of customers’ needs, and build clinical champions using a Challenger selling framework. Engage directly with C‑Suite stakeholders and clinical champions, leveraging discovery and stakeholder analysis. Present, educate, manage, and thoughtfully challenge multiple stakeholders in complex sales and boardroom environments. Maintain a detailed, frequently updated strategic business plan for the territory. Provide realistic sales forecasts to sales management consistently. Develop relationships with clinical and economic champions at new and existing customers to understand customer needs and capital buying cycles. Lead product technical and clinical demonstrations to drive adoption of Ottava. Negotiate capital pricing and program performance terms with customers in collaboration with the sales management team. Implement post‑sales installation, implementation, and adoption protocols to achieve desired business outcomes. Support new customers in clinical adoption of Ottava and ensure customer satisfaction and utilization rates. Maintain expert‑level knowledge of Ottava products and demonstrate a firm grasp of industry and market trends. Qualifications Minimum of a bachelor’s degree. At least 6 years of relevant healthcare experience, including 3 years in capital sales. Ability to travel extensively (up to 75%) and travel within the assigned territory. Experience in a hospital or ASC setting, including attending live patient cases and wearing required protective gear. Self‑starter with strong problem­solving skills and the ability to think critically under high‑pressure conditions. Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels and high‑frequency daily communication with sales management. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively. Experience working in a regulated environment in compliance with ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820. Compensation Base pay of $180,000 annually with eligibility for a highly competitive MBO program and participation in the company’s long‑term incentive program.
