Registered Nurse (RN) Labor and DeliveryStatus/FTE: FT / 1.0 FTEShift length: 12 hoursStart Time: 1900-0730Unit: Labor & DeliverySchedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Three (3) 12-hour shifts weekly, every third weekend and holidays by rotationRequired qualifications:Current state RN licenseAssociate's degree from an accredited nursing schoolBLS for Healthcare Provider upon hireACLS and NRP are required within six (6) months of hireThree (3) years of inpatient L&D experiencePreferred qualifications:BSN preferredFive (5) years L&D, high-risk L&D or Charge nursing experienceRNC-OB and/or RNC-EFM CertificationAWHONN FHM and STABLE within the first yearAdditional Information/Department information:The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in the clinical setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. The RN is knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents.
