About the Position

Job Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (06:30 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: South Carolina RN License preferred Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA Must-Have: - Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in ambulatory OR settings. - Certification from NBSTSA is required. - BLS certification is required. - A radiation badge must be provided by the parent company. - Previous experience in ENT, Plastics, GYN, Urology, Robotics, and Pain management is preferred. Description: This Ambulatory OR CST position offers both 3x12 and 4x10 hour shift options. Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday. The position does not require weekend work or on-call duty. There is a possibility of floating within the Perioperative facility to meet needs. Candidates should be aware that they may be required to precept a care team member in the operating room. Travelers should also be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. All time-off requests must be provided at the time of submission. Local candidates will be considered at a lower priority, with a radius rule set at 60 miles. MUSC prioritizes non-local candidates first. Previous employees must be separated from the system for one year before returning. Candidates must comply with the South Carolina license requirements prior to starting. It is important that all labs are completed within specified timeframes during the compliance process. Modules are non-billable and average four hours spent on them. All modules are included in pre-start compliance and are reported by the facility.
