Accounting Specialist

Location: San Antonio, TX - fully in office About the Role We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to support both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions within a growing accounting team. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who can handle day-to-day transactions but also enjoys analyzing financial information, investigating discrepancies, and finding solutions. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities. Process invoices, payments, receipts, and other accounting transactions accurately. Review transactions and account activity for discrepancies or unusual items. Research and resolve AP/AR discrepancies and reconciliation issues. Maintain accurate customer and vendor records. Perform account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items. Review financial data and investigate variances or inconsistencies. Communicate with internal departments, customers, and vendors to resolve accounting issues. Assist with month-end accounting activities and reporting. Maintain organized supporting documentation and accounting records. Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase accuracy and efficiency.
