RN Registered Nurse - Short Term Care (Toms River)

Job Title: RN Location: Central Jersey Behavioral Department: Short Term Care (STC) Req #: 0000252699 Status: Hourly Shift: Night Pay Range: $46.90 - $63.97 per hour The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care in the Short Term Care department, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for psychiatric patients in compliance with state regulations and hospital policies. Essential Functions The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards. Assures safety in practice and applies evidence-based practice, advancing knowledge of self and others. Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors. Has knowledge of the patient population served. Supervises and directs delegation of tasks to team members and collaborates with other providers. Sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement. Acts as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, integrating all aspects of care using the nursing process and individualizing the plan of care.
