Eastside General Dentistry - Spartanburg, South Carolina

Position Overview

Eastside General Dentistry is seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our growing team in Spartanburg, SC. This position offers a consistent Monday-Thursday schedule with the occasional Friday half day. We are looking for a hygienist who is relational, patient-focused, and business-minded, and who is excited to contribute to a goal-oriented practice. While one year of experience is preferred, new graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Schedule:

• Monday-Thursday: 7:45am - 5:00pm
• Occasional Friday half day

We are also open to part-time candidates who are interested!

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive preventive and periodontal dental hygiene care, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and non-surgical periodontal therapy
• Take and interpret dental radiographs and accurately document findings in patient charts
• Educate patients on oral health, preventative care, and recommended treatment plans
• Build strong patient relationships and provide a comfortable, positive experience at each visit
• Work collaboratively with dentists and clinical team members to support efficient, productive schedules
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, infection control, and practice safety standards
• Support office goals by remaining engaged, accountable, and mindful of practice growth and efficiency

Qualifications

• Active (or pending, for new graduates) South Carolina dental hygiene license
• One year of clinical experience preferred, but open to new graduates
• Dentrix experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a relational, patient-centered approach
• Business-minded with an understanding of how hygiene contributes to overall practice success
• Reliable, team-oriented, and motivated to grow professionally

Qualifications:

• Current dental hygienist license
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office
• Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment
