About the Position

Job Title: Certified Surgical Tech (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 5+ Years Preferred License: Pending State License Not Accepted Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA Must-Have: Must have total joint, ortho, and neuro spine experience. Must have experience with Stryker and Mako systems. Description: Certified Surgical Tech (CST) is required for immediate start. Types of cases include orthopedic joint replacements and sports medicine. Candidates with less than 5 years of experience will be considered. First-time travelers may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Weekends will require 1 call every 6-8 weeks. On-call duty is required once a week with an additional on-call weekend. Candidates must be able to independently set up and run cases. Attendance policy includes a review for cancellation if more than two shifts are missed without reasonable explanation. Preferred experience includes recent EPIC usage. Candidates must pass Cardiac Dysrhythmia and Moderate Sedation tests on the first day of orientation. All requested time off must be included in the initial submission and no RTO around the holidays will be approved. It is essential to have experience in total joints, ortho spine, and sports medicine. Expert level knowledge in using Mako and other relevant robotic systems is expected. Candidates should also have experience with various surgical procedures, including arthroscopy, laminectomy, and spinal fusion.
