Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Room (ER)Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting License: Vermont RN or Compact License Certifications: - Active American Heart Association BLS - Active American Heart Association ACLS - Active Trauma Nursing Core Course TNCC - Active American Heart Association PALS Must-Have: - All certifications must be current and uploaded with the profile - Traveler must have their own vehicle Description: The Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Upon arrival, a Nurse will screen patients to determine the severity of their condition and the appropriate course of treatment. The Emergency Department serves approximately 14,000 patient visits each year. Requested time off during the assignment must be noted and verified at the time of submittal. Requests for time off after submittal or during the interview will not be approved. No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted. It is preferred that travelers work during the holidays, specifically: - Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday - Christmas Eve through Christmas Day - New Year's Eve through New Year's Day Travelers may not take all holidays off. They are required to work two of the identified holiday blocks if scheduled. Profile requirements include current work history and skills checklist specific to the emergency department. A supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment is required.
