Registered Nurse (RN) Coronary Care Unit Per Diem Day Location: 201 LYONS AVENUE, NEWARK, NJ 07112-2027 Department: Coronary Care Unit Status: Per Diem (Hourly) Shift: Day Pay Range: $49.28 - $66.05 per hour (NJ) Job Overview Provide nursing care for patients in the Coronary Care Unit on a per diem basis. This role requires the application of the Nurse Practice Act, ethical standards, and evidence-based practices. Qualifications ASN or Nursing Diploma from a nationally accredited school Strong communication and organizational skills Proficient computer skills Preferred BSN from a nationally accredited school Minimum 2 years of hospital experience Certifications and Licenses Required Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement BLS certification from the American Heart Association Scheduling Requirements Night Shift Scheduled as needed with a minimum requirement of 2 shifts a month Per Diem Will need to work 1 winter and 1 summer holiday Essential Functions Provide nursing care within scope of practice and ensure safety and ethical standards. Use evidence-based practice, maintain knowledge, and advance team knowledge. Report safety issues and medical errors. Understand patient population served. Supervise delegation of tasks and collaborate with other providers. Set priorities and evaluate interventions with measurable outcomes. Integrate all care aspects and individualize plan of care.
