Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist – Fairbanks, AK Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 2:30pm; additional hours and rotating Saturdays as needed. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (Minimum) Three or more months of phlebotomy experience (Preferred) Prior Labcorp phlebotomy experience (Preferred) Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency (in lieu of work experience) Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test Flexibility to work overtime as needed Exceptional customer service skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Benefits Comprehensive benefits for employees scheduled 20 or more hours per week: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Stock Purchase Plan 401(k) plan participation for employees scheduled less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees Full benefits (except PTO/FTO) for employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule Quarterly Incentive Bonus Program – eligible for a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics Equal Opportunity Employer Labcorp is a proud Equal Opportunity Employer.
