Territory Manager-Melbourne

Location: Melbourne, FL | Schedule: Full-time, on-site/field-based Overview A long-established, family-owned distributor of industrial hardware is seeking a Territory Manager to serve customers across a defined geographic territory. Operating as a mobile store, this role brings products and service directly to businesses in sectors such as transportation, aviation, facilities maintenance, aerospace, medical, military, marine, power generation, manufacturing, government, and heavy equipment. This is a sales-driven position that plays a key role in expanding the company's customer base and maintaining strong client relationships. What you'll do Develop new sales prospects through research, referrals, and calling on businesses near existing customers Make face-to-face calls on cold and warm sales prospects Present products and services using sample boards, product demonstrations, and the mobile store Maintain the cleanliness, operation, marketing, and functionality of the mobile store Submit complete and accurate daily business reports detailing sales orders and prospect calls Continually maintain customer contact information, including notes, names, phone numbers, and addresses, using company software Required qualifications Must reside within the assigned territory; relocation is not available Must be able to purchase or lease an approved mobile store vehicle Must maintain a clean driving history Must have the physical ability to kneel and bend to the floor on a regular basis High school diploma or equivalent required Strong tenured work background with no job hopping; ideal candidates have worked at a maximum of 3 companies over the past 10 years Excellent analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, email, and common business applications Demonstrated ability to work independently and a proven history of goal attainment Preferred qualifications Outside industrial sales experience, especially in route or industrial sales, is preferred Why this role This role offers the opportunity to run an independent, mobile sales operation serving a wide variety of industries, with a strong emphasis on relationship-building, independence, and goal attainment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
