Registered Nurse Preop/PACU at Bethesda Chevy Chase Surgery CenterThe Registered Nurse Preop/PACU provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.QualificationsGraduate of an accredited RN School of NursingActive RN license in the state of MarylandBLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferredAbility to make decisions based on nursing judgmentAble to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unitStrong communication skills, verbal and writtenSalary Range: Min $39.93 to Max $59.90. Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications and experience.
