If you're energized by solving complex engineering challenges, mentoring emerging talent, and building strong client relationships, we'd love to hear from you.In return, you'll have the opportunity to advance your career, lead meaningful projects, contribute to our continued growth, and work alongside a collaborative team that values both professional success and work-life balance.What You'll DoLead Transformative Transportation ProjectsServe as a technical leader on transportation design projects for key clients, including PennDOT and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC).Guide projects from planning through design while ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.Apply Your Technical ExpertiseDevelop and oversee roadway geometric design, 3D modeling, cross-section development, traffic control plans, signing and pavement marking plans, and right-of-way plans.Prepare technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.Collaborate Across TeamsPartner with client managers, multidisciplinary engineering teams, and marketing professionals to deliver successful project outcomes.Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders throughout project development.Mentor and Develop TalentProvide guidance and support to junior engineers and design staff.Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and professional growth within the team.Contribute to Business GrowthSupport proposal development and client engagement efforts.Participate in industry organizations and networking opportunities to strengthen client relationships and help expand STV's presence in the region.What You'll BringEducation & LicensureBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.Master's degree is a plus.Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Pennsylvania PE preferred.ExperienceApproximately 10–15 years of highway engineering experience.Demonstrated experience working with PennDOT and/or the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.Experience with agencies in New Jersey, New York, or other transportation authorities is a plus.Technical SkillsProficiency with MicroStation, Bentley OpenRoads, and Microsoft Office applications.Strong understanding of AASHTO design standards and transportation engineering best practices.Experience developing scopes of work, preparing task estimates, and overseeing quality control processes.Leadership & CommunicationStrong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.Ability to effectively collaborate with clients, project teams, and technical staff.Passion for mentoring and developing future engineering leaders.Why STV?At STV, you'll have the opportunity to lead meaningful projects, influence the future of transportation infrastructure, and make a lasting impact on the communities we serve.
