Purpose:

This role shapes resource and capacity strategies across multiple divisions within JJIM by providing senior leaders with forward-looking insights that inform portfolio, workforce, and investment decisions. Serving as the Capacity Management lead and strategic partner to assigned functional areas, the individual connects business priorities with resource planning, strengthens forecasting practices, and promotes an integrated approach to long-term capacity management. Through cross-functional partnership and evidence-based guidance, the role helps leaders anticipate resource needs, evaluate trade-offs, and align resource allocation with organizational objectives.

You will be responsible for:

• Provide monthly and ad hoc resource insights and analytics to assigned Functions, interpreting trends, risks, opportunities, and business implications to enable strategic decision-making.
• Own end-to-end resource forecasting models, including translating business processes and requirements into robust forecasting models and analyses such as supply versus demand, overtime, attrition, J&J/Flex ratios, throughput, resource trends, and other relevant measures.
• Partner with Functions to gather and clarify requirements and lead forecasting model validation, deployment, monitoring, and control to ensure model integrity, sustained performance, and fitness for business use.
• Translate complex analyses into concise, executive-ready summaries, presentations, visualizations, and actionable recommendations tailored to senior leadership and non-technical audiences.
• Connect analytical findings to business priorities, clearly articulate assumptions and implications, and use evidence-based recommendations to influence resource allocation and long-term capacity strategies.
• Enable financial planning cycles, including BP, JU, NU, and monthly CF, through close partnership with Finance and Functional Business Operations Heads and Leads.
• Build trusted partnerships and drive collaboration and alignment across Resource Decision Support, Project Managers, Finance, Planning & Portfolio Solutions, IT, and other key business partners.
• Navigate ambiguity, competing priorities, constructive challenge, and senior stakeholder feedback with composure; defend analyses with evidence, incorporate feedback, and remain solutions-oriented while building alignment across differing perspectives.
• Independently shape and lead capabilities, including but not limited to machine learning, cross-functional model accuracy metrics, and manual demand monitoring and control.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Education:

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree is required
• Advanced degree is preferred

Required:

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant industry experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in analyzing and visualizing complex resource, portfolio, or operational data, including evaluating historical trends and applying techniques such as data mining, simulation, optimization, predictive modelling, or machine learning.
• Proven ability to translate sophisticated analyses into clear, actionable recommendations and compelling executive-level summaries, presentations, and visualizations for senior leadership and non-technical audiences.
• Proven success building trusted partnerships, influencing decisions without direct authority, and aligning diverse stakeholders across functional and organizational boundaries.
• Strong business acumen and critical thinking, with demonstrated ability to connect analytical evidence to strategic priorities, evaluate business implications, and inform resource decisions.
• Demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and sound judgment when managing ambiguity, competing priorities, constructive challenge, and feedback from senior stakeholders.
• Outstanding interpersonal, written, verbal, presentation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to travel 10–15% domestically and internationally, as business needs require, to support project teams across multiple locations.

Preferred:

• Experience in planning/forecasting roles
• Experience in or awareness of R&D in pharma
• Knowledge of Planisware
• Development, delivery, and stewardship of parametric algorithms, ML models, or similar techniques for resource forecasting
• Experience with reporting and statistical capabilities including (but not limited to) Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire, Minitab, etc.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$117,000.00 - $201,250.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
