RN - House Supervisor

Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to promote and restore patients' health through effective management and planning in the patient care area. This role involves collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, providing physical and psychological support to patients and their families.ResponsibilitiesDevelop day-to-day management and long-term planning of patient care.Direct and develop nursing staff, including selection, orientation, training, scheduling, and evaluation.Implement operating standards related to productivity, quality, and customer service.Contribute to strategic plans and reviews while identifying system improvements.Monitor financial standards, including budget preparation and expenditure tracking.Establish rapport with patients to identify service requirements and enhance patient independence.Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families.Create a safe and clean working environment by developing and enforcing procedures and regulations.Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with infection control policies.Audit patient care services documentation and maintain nursing supplies inventory.Stay current with professional knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and participating in networks.Actively promote teamwork and cooperation within the healthcare team.QualificationsMust possess ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association.A minimum of 4 years of recent nursing experience in a supervisory capacity within an ICU setting.Experience in emergency event leadership, critical care, ventilator management, tracheostomy care, and effective interpersonal skills.Strong time management and organizational skills, including venipuncture and IV initiation.Must hold a valid Texas RN license or multi-state license.Ability to float between RN House Supervisor and ICU RN roles as required by patient census.
