RN House Supervisor - ICU

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

The RN House Supervisor for the ICU plays a critical role in promoting and restoring patient health through effective management and planning. This position includes directing and developing nursing staff as well as collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement day-to-day management and long-term planning of patient care.
• Provide physical and psychological support for patients, families, and friends.
• Conduct staff management activities, including coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals.
• Ensure adherence to nursing operational standards and financial guidelines.
• Establish rapport with patients to identify service requirements.
• Maintain nursing practices by writing and updating policies and procedures.
• Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and patient education.
• Ensure adherence to infection-control policies and safe working environments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have ACLS & BLS certifications (American Heart Association).
• 4 years of recent RN House Supervisory and ICU Supervisory hospital experience.
• Experience leading emergency events such as Code Blue and rapid responses.
• Must have Texas RN or multi-state license.
• Candidates may need to float between RN House Supervisor and ICU RN depending on facility census.
