Collections Coordinator

Student Accounts/Collections CoordinatorWyoTech is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Student Accounts/Collections Coordinator to join our team at our Laramie, WY campus. This position plays an important role in supporting our students by helping them understand and manage their student accounts throughout their time at WyoTech. The Student Accounts/Collections Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for student account questions, assists students with payments and account balances, processes payments and adjustments, coordinates student stipends and refunds, and works closely with departments across campus to provide a positive student experience.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAct as a point of contact for student account inquiries and provide students with timely and accurate informationAdvise students regarding payments, account balances, and other student account mattersMonitor Title IV default accountsMonitor and collect past-due accounts through phone calls, emails, text messages, and lettersSchedule and distribute student stipends and refundsPost payments, charges, and adjustments to student ledgers accurately and timelyWork closely with the Student Finance team, Department Coordinators, instructors, and other campus departments to serve studentsPerform general administrative duties, including filing and data entryAssist with answering incoming phone calls and directing inquiries appropriatelyAssist the Student Accounts Manager with day-to-day responsibilities and special projectsMaintain professionalism and provide excellent customer service when working with students, staff, and facultyMaintain accuracy and attention to detail when handling student financial informationOther duties as assignedRequirementsMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education1-3 years of relevant work experiencePrevious experience in education administration, accounting, collections, or another related fieldAssociated Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & ExperiencePrevious experience in education administration, accounting, collections, or other related fieldsAbility to prioritize and multitaskAbility to be detail-oriented and meet deadlinesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentExcellent customer service to all customers, including students, staff, and facultyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWhy WyoTech:Work with students to make a difference in their livesWork with a great company that supports not only its staff but the community as wellTeam buildingTuition reimbursementCompetitive benefit packagePTO and paid holidays401KHealth insurance - vision and dental includedLife and short-term disabilityThe Laramie community has the small-town charm with big city events.
